Admiral Fallow

Scotland's Admiral Fallow continues their seemingly unstoppable mission to capture hearts and minds. They steal the former with beautiful melodies, sumptuous orchestration and bittersweet boy/girl vocals, while unforgettably colonising the latter thanks to lead singer/guitarist Louis Abbott's exquisitely observed hauntingly candid lyrics.

Completed by fellow vocalist Sarah Hayes, Admiral Fallow's richly distinctive mesh of acoustic and electric textures with multilayered harmonies have enthralled audiences at 2011's SXSW, Glastonbury, Latitude, Cambridge, and Green Man festivals. Catch them while you can in such an intimate and atmospheric venue.

The Scottish press says it all about this stunning band’s debut album ‘Boots Met My Face’ They have been compared with Frightened Rabbit, Deacon Blue and Mumford and Sons.

The Daily Record Album of the Week *****'One of the best albums produced in Scotland this year'

The Sunday Mail - *****'A lovely, well-crafted album' 'surely destined for a larger stage.

Music-News - *****'An astounding first album'

The Rachel Sermanni Band

This highly talented 19 year’s old quirky songwriting, unusual phrasing and intricate finger picking earned her spots in SXSW in Austin, Texas and LA’s Musexpo. Rachel has toured with Stornoway and supported KT Tunstall and Newton Faulkner, appeared at Celtic Connections, and gone on to support Mumford & Son. Shows this summer included T in the Park, Ben & Jerry’s, Manchester & London, Cambridge and The Edinburgh Festival.

For her Sligo Live appearances, she is surrounded by a group of wonderful musicians, the fiddle pixies, Laura Wilkie, Siobhan Anderson and Louise Bichan and pianist Jennifer Austin. Make sure you catch this Highland star on the ascendancy.

"Her performance was dynamically aware, controlled, self-assured, compelling and utterly cool; and at only eighteen, she is a simply frightening prospect. In the interest of brevity, this girl is the real thing. Outstanding." HI-Arts

‘Incredibly promising…we're sure she has an illustrious career ahead of her’. The Independent (U.K.)

‘Rachel Sermanni impresses with a stunning singing voice.’ ‘Expect sultry vocals and lyrics by the one, the only…’
